Effective 24 August 2026. By using ScentMe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What ScentMe provides
ScentMe is a reference catalog of perfumes and the houses that make them, with an optional member community. It is not a shop: we do not sell perfume, take payment, hold stock, or fulfil orders. Links to a house's own listing are provided for reference only, and we are not party to anything you buy there.
Accuracy of catalog information
Product names, descriptions, sizes, prices and scent notes are recorded from public sources on a particular date and are kept with that provenance. They may be out of date, incomplete, or wrong. Prices shown are converted to Saudi riyals using a recorded reference rate and are an indication only, never a quote.
Scent notes are not ingredients. They are the descriptive notes published by a house or a listing. They are not verified ingredient or INCI lists, and you must not rely on them for decisions about allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy, or any other health matter. Check the physical product and speak to a qualified professional.
The catalog is provided as-is. Always confirm details with the house before purchasing.
Your account
You may browse the catalog and keep a saved shelf without an account. An account is needed only to sync that shelf and to take part in the community.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the sign-in provider account you use to access ScentMe, and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been used without your permission.
One person, one account. Do not create accounts by automated means or on behalf of someone else.
Community content
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content inside ScentMe, so it can be shown to other members. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in moderation records.
You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
Not permitted
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that demeans a person or group.
- Sexual content, graphic violence, or anything unlawful.
- Spam, advertising, referral links, or undisclosed commercial promotion.
- Impersonating another person, brand, or ScentMe staff.
- Other people's private information, or content you have no right to share.
- Health, safety, or ingredient claims presented as verified fact.
- Scraping, automated collection, or attempts to circumvent access controls.
Moderation
We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour.
- Every post, comment and review can be reported from inside the app.
- You can block another member at any time; their content disappears from your view and yours from theirs.
- Reports are reviewed by our moderators, who may hide or remove content, and limit or suspend an account. Every decision is recorded with a reason.
- We aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
We may remove content or restrict an account without notice where we believe it is necessary to protect members or comply with the law. If we act against your account you may ask us to review it by writing to the support address.
Sponsored placements
ScentMe may show sponsored placements. They are booked directly with us, always labelled, and never targeted or personalised. A sponsored placement is not an endorsement of the advertiser, and we are not responsible for what happens on their site.
Intellectual property
The ScentMe name, design, software and compiled catalog belong to us. Perfume names, brand names, trademarks, product copy and photography belong to their respective owners and appear here for reference and identification. Nothing in these terms grants you a licence to redistribute that material.
If you believe material in ScentMe infringes your rights, write to the support address with enough detail to identify it and we will respond promptly.
Closing your account
You can start deletion from the Profile tab in the app at any time. It completes after a 30-day grace period, during which you may cancel it. What happens to your data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
We may close an account that has seriously or repeatedly broken these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
ScentMe is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the catalog is accurate or complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on catalog information or from your dealings with any perfume house or advertiser. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will update the effective date and notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use ScentMe after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
Apple
Where you obtain ScentMe through the App Store, this agreement is between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for ScentMe, and is not responsible for any claim relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
